Sneak Peek for Miss R and Mr J

Can we can gorgeous? Because I cannot think of another word to describe this pair of siblings. We spent Friday afternoon downtown and just had so much fun together. Even the kids commented on how much more fun shooting outside was compared to going to an indoor studio. They just went along with anything I wanted to do and I never heard a complaint, Mr J needed just a little time to warm up to me as he was acting shy that day, but he came around! Miss R though, totally not shy and even put on a petti for me even though she's not a girly girl she says!

So P I hope you enjoy the sneak peek of the kids, I'll let you know as soon as I get the full gallery ready. Thanks for spending the day with me and it was a pleasure photographing them!

I had to pleasure of Photographing my first set of twins Thursday Evening, although they were both really sore from playing softball the day before, they were really good sports and did everything that I asked of them.

Little Miss C, here is your other sneak peek!

I was able to meet up with little Miss C again on Thursday for our outdoor portion of the session, again, she was the sweetest little thing! The weather was so much nicer then it was on Tuesday, and her mama brought some great outfits!

Sneak Peek for Little Miss C!

I had the pleasure of Photographing little Miss C today, C was born at 28 weeks and besides being just a little petite (and hey nothing wrong with that!) you would never be able to tell. She was all smiles and a pure joy to photograph.

Today was suppose to be a combo shoot, both studio and on location, but wouldn't you know Mother Nature had other plans! It was so cold and it snowed off and on all day. /sigh So we are going to do the rest of the session another day.

Sneak Peek for the B girls!

Saturday I had the privilege of shooting these gorgeous sisters! They were so much fun and up for about anything, they are all naturals in front of the camera, my camera loved them :) We only got to shoot about an hour before they had to leave though, I could of stayed and Photographed them all day had we had the time!

Fresh Faces Spring Edition!

Voting will be in another post, I just wanted to write a quick thank you to all who entered! I ended up having 25 Entries this year (26 kids, one set of twins this year).

Wow it's hard to believe it's week 7 already! I didn't get one for week 5, did have one for week 6 but didn't post it, sick kiddos it's hard to take your SP when you are busy taking care of 4 sick kids!

Fresh Faces Spring Edition

After the success of my last Fresh Faces contest I have been asked if I was going to run another one. Well here is your answer!

This time however it is going to be a little different, not much but a little.

I am not stopping the age limit at 12 this time, now its 18 years.

Group 1 is the babies group-Newborn to 1 year.
Group 2 is the toddler group-1 year 1 day to 4 years
Group 3 is the little kid group-4 years 1 day to 8 years
Group 4 is the big kid group-8 years 1 day to 13 years.
Group 5 is the teen group-13 years 1 day to 18 years.

Twins and Multiples are welcome

How it works:

Submit a Non Professional Photo to Marie@MarieChampionPhotography.com by March 13th 2009; voting will take Place from March 14th until March 28th. Winning Sessions must take place within 30 days from the end of the contest. Please put FRESH FACES in the subject line of the email. The picture must be current, taken within the past 2 months, please include the child’s name and age, as well as your contact info. No real names will be used online, each entrant will be numbered and go by the first letter of their name.

By submitting your Photo you are giving Marie Champion Photography the right to use the photo submitted on her blog for this contest.

Each Category will have a 1^st place a 2^nd place and a 3^rd place finisher.

The 1^st place finishers from each category all receive a free One Hour Session** with Marie Champion Photography and a discount on collection pricing.

2^nd place Winners will receive a $75* Gift Certificate to Marie Champion Photography, and a discount on collection pricing

3^rd place finishers will receive $50* gift Certificate to Marie Champion Photography, and a discount on collection pricing

52 Pieces of Me.... Week 3 and 4

I did one for week 2, but it's a very personal image that I only shared with my close friends, I did not feel comfy posting it here (sorry!)

I was sick for most of week 3 so I didn't get to take a Picture, so I am counting this one as week 3 and 4's, and yes I can do that!



So this is me being me, I'm a big ole kid at heart, Jordan got this Skateboard for Christmas and being me I had to ride it right away, on Christmas morning I hopped on the board without a moments hesitation, only to fall flat on my butt, umm I guess I was a bit rusty! I came up laughing though, and like I teach my children, always get back up, it took me a little bit to try it again (in my defense it has been COLD!) but I got back up and showed the kids, even if you fail at it once, you continue to try. And heck yes I was scared I would fall again, I am Def not a real kid anymore, I was sore for two weeks after my fall!

Today I was accepted.

Earlier when I checked my email I was thrilled to learn that I had been accepted as a Photographer for two wonderful Charities, two totally different themes but both of them close to my heart.




It's a wonderful program for our Military families that are either in the process of Being Deployed, Already Deployed or are coming home. I encourage everyone to go take a look at their website and get more info, what is offered, to see if you qualify or to find a Photographer in your area.

I have always held a great respect for our Service Men and Women, my husband is ex-military, my recently passed uncle served in Vietnam, and I have countless other friends and family members who are Military men and women.

I am already listed on their Photographer Directory!





The Littlest Heroes, please go read about this Organization, A snippet from their homepage.

The Littlest Heroes Project provides you with a complimentary photo shoot for your hero and family. I have friends that have littlest heroes of their own, and while any illness is never easy to go through, seeing your child, or the child of someone you love and care for fighting for their life, or having a lifelong disorder to fight is not easy.

Looking for 2010 Senior Reps.

Looking for students from the Vinton and Jackson County areas who will be seniors and graduate in 2010, senior reps receive complimentary sessions, a picture for your yearbook, senior rep cards and a discount on any prints ordered, plus you earn free prints for each referral.

The only requirements are, you must be comfortable in front of the camera and be a member of either Vinton County or a Jackson County High School and be a Senior for the 2010 school year. There is only one spot left for Vinton County and two spots for each school in the Jackson County Area. (Wellston, Jackson, Oak Hill)

52 Pieces of Me.... Week 1

Yea, 52 pictures of me, wonder if I can keep up with it?

Some of my Photographer friends have started a 52 pieces of me group, I joined, the woman that hates being in front of the camera, umm yea me, I think I may be crazy! but I'm always up for a good creative challenge, but really how many Self Portraits can one person take? Well I guess 52 is the answer since we are to do one a week. It's only the first week and I am already slacking, this may not go to well LOL. However I do have a couple ideas, they should cover the first month after that well... we will see.

Thankfully though, these girls are my motivation, and we always inspire eachother and who knows, maybe I will learn something new about myself during this process? Many of my wonderful Photographer friends who are also doing this challenge are on my blog list on the side, some are blogging it some are not, but make sure you check out their links to see what they come up with! We've had some great entries so far!

One Thing I love, One Thing I hate...
I love my lashes, always have, they are thick and long, I don't even have to wear mascara.

I hate the scar on my nose, I had a small cyst grow there while I was Pregnant with my 2nd child, I had it removed once and it grew back, so they had to remove it again.

New Years shoot.

Since New Years is my Birthday, Megan humored me and went out and stood in freezing weather to give me a couple hours of fun time, yes believe it or not, Photography while my Professional is still fun for me. She even smiled for me, which in itself is a huge thing for her to do when I have my camera out. The crazy thing is, she actually liked her smile picture! lol

Isn't she just beautiful?

She has went through my Photography journey with me, and I am so thankful for her constant modeling, she has gotten really good too! I don't even have to direct her anymore, she knows her angles well!
